EU INSPIRE Directive Seminar – Clear Steps Towards Compliance
The EU INSPIRE Directive 2007/2/EC of the European Parliament seeks to establish an 'Infrastructure for Spatial Information in the European Community' (INSPIRE). The INSPIRE Directive entered into force on the 15th May 2007 and sets out a range of requirements as regards standardisation and publication of geographical datasets and associated datasets descriptions (metadata) across the European Union.
Seminar Rational & Agenda
Based on feedback from those facing INSPIRE-related tasks in 2010 and beyond, we have designed a seminar that will set out in a straightforward manner the steps required to achieve compliance for the 2010 and 2011 deadlines. We will present a series of open source based technology solutions also.

Logistics
Dates to be set for Autumn 2010 and 2011 events.
Location: Compass Informatics, Blackrock, Dublin, Ireland. Location details here.
Transport: Note parking spaces are very limited within the business park. On-street pay parking on Carysfort Avenue by UCD Business School. We recommend travel by Dart to Blackrock Station with ten minute stroll to Compass offices.
